Sole F80 vs. Smooth 6.45: Comparing Today’s Best Value Treadmills
It is very difficult to compare Sole F80 and Smooth 6.45, as there are fewer differences and more similarities between both the treadmills. Therefore, you will have a hard time in making that decision if you were to make a choice between Smooth 6.45 and Sole F80.
Specifications
The Sole F80 and the Smooth 6.45 are both equipped with 3.0 continuous duty HP motors, can both go to an incline level of 15%, and can reach speeds of up to 11 mph.
The Smooth 6.45 is built slightly heavier, weighing 265 lbs than the Sole F80’s 250 lbs, but the two machines are still guaranteed to be stable even with runners weighing up to 350 lbs using them. The Smooth 6.45 however, comes with a 20″ by 60″ running surface compared to the Sole F80’s 20″ by 55″ area.
Console and User Programs
LED consoles are offered by both of these top treadmill models allowing for easy monitoring of the user’s vital data. This data includes the distance, speed, and time, among others. Built in programs are offered by both in standard and customizable format. This can make a big difference in workout sessions keeping things easily adaptable to fitness levels.
There are 10 built-in programs in the Sole F80: 2 are heart rate programs, 6 standard programs and the last 2 programs are user customizable programs. Smooth, on the other hand has 8 standard programs and 3 programs which are user customizable. You will get hand pulse grips for both machines but only sole has that extra feature because it comes with a wireless chest strap for monitoring the heart rate during the workout.
Additional Features
Do you want to enjoy the latest hits along with your jogging? Then you have the option of enjoying both workout and entertainment as Sole has built-in speakers where you can easily plug the MP3 player or your ipod and enjoy music while doing your exercise. The Smooth 6.45 model does not have this facility but the sister model, the Smooth 6.45M, is already equipped with the speaker facility but costs a hundred dollars more.
The Soles F80 also has the added facility of having the speed and incline controls on the armrest. This gives you the opportunity of making adjustments without breaking the continuity of the workout process.
Better Warranty And Price
Both of these top treadmill exercise models are higher priced than most. They range in MSRP from $1999 up to $2297. However, they can be found on sale for only $1499. The lifetime warranty on motor and frame, 5-year warranty on all electronic parts, and 2-year guarantee on labor is applicable for both treadmills, and this makes each a great investment in exercise equipment.
Purchasing The Best - Smooth 6.45 or Sole F80
Both the sole and the smooth treadmills have the capacity to keep up with your daily workout. However, if you would have me make the choice for the best, I’d go for the Smooth 6.45. Though Sole has some additional features that are absent in the 6.45, I would still prefer the larger running area of the Smooth model. Besides, Smooth 6.45 is really one of Smooth Fitness’ best treadmills.
