Your Lower Body Workout Works Better While Cheating

How many times will you hear a diet counselor tell you to cheat on your eating plan? It’s not often, but that may be the exact key to helping you learn lifetime healthy eating habits and improve your lower body workout results as well!

Therefore, it is important to learn to become flexible on your diet. This means dieting for the long run, and not just for a period of time. Cheating on your diet helps you do just that. If you suddenly stop eating something you were used to having all your life, it can lead to desperation, which will eventually ruin your diet and lower body workout.

Giving in is very different from giving up. When you give in and have a little taste of heaven, you’re not giving up on your diet plan - you’re being flexible. Does this mean you can give in 24 hours a day and consume as many calories as you feel like eating?

Cheating, though, doesn’t mean having the license to gorge. Not if you want your lower body workout to work. Diet plans work, and you tone thighs not because you strictly follow the rules. They work because you create your diet plan and toning exercises according to what you need and what you feel works for you.

It may not always be a psychological craving, either. Your body will alert you to deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals. If you’re dieting, your body may be lacking certain nutrients and making you crave foods is the only way it knows to get those nutrients back in its system.

The problem becomes psychological because a lot of people when they hear the word “diet” they automatically think of negative things. They feel depressed that they can’t have their favorite dishes. Then they lose focus doing their lower body workouts. That is why giving in from time to time is not so bad.

If you’re worried that all those cheating will eventually lead you to abandoning your diet and lower body workout, then remember this: before you start any diet or workout, put it in your mind that you will, mo matter what, cheat (but always in moderation), and that it is definitely ok, even healthy.

What you should not do, though, is completely eradicate all the delicious foods, all those that make you feel better, in your diet. Most diet plans tell you to do this, and how many times did you find yourself saying that this diet plan just doesn’t work on you? Fit the diet and the lower body workout on you. Make adjustments.

Your body will clue you in to the fact that it’s in need of something you’re not giving it. Sometimes it may be carbs, and even if you’re on a no-carb diet, you have to make the decision as to whether or not you’ll address your body’s needs and give yourself permission to cheat - just a little.
