The Miami Dolphins were the feel good story of the 2008 NFL season. The team finished with a 1-15 regular season record in 2007, and was written off as quite possibly the worst football team of the decade.
Things didn’t look too much brighter entering the 2008 season, nor did they look much better for Chad Pennington. Regardless, the Dolphins somehow pulled it together and became the Cinderella football team of 2008.
The duo of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams really came together. This opened up a ton of room for Chad Pennington as well. Anthony Fasano also stepped up as one of the top TE’s in the league. What a year it was!
The Dolphins rode the wave of enthusiasm into the 2009 season and expected big things out of an improved offense that would look to enjoy another successful football season.
After controlling the ball for 45 minutes against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football, the Dolphins could not secure the win, heartbreaking no doubt. I really thought they would get the W.
Seven points scored in a game against an average Falcons defense raised questions about the Dolphins’ offense and their effectiveness. It’s going to be a long season if they don’t get it right.
The Dolphins won the division in 08′, but New England’s QB Tom Brady was out the entire year and New York Jets QB Brett Favre was also hurt in the second half of the season - now, the rest of the division has improved. The Dolphins have more questions then answers at this point.
They performed a miraculous turn around in one year; hopefully that type of magic exists with the Dolphins again. If the Dolphins somehow manage a 8-8 season, that would be considered a successful season.

Teenagers today want more than anyone else to be able to stand out amongst the crowd and look fashionable amongst their friends and the general public. Hairstyles are one of the most important aspects to achieving this.
Teens often look to celebrities for their inspirations and indeed certain celebrities are widely considered to be true role models for many teenagers. Teen celebrity hairstyles are thus becoming more and more popular, but not without a wide selection to choose from.
Also, regardless of hair colour of facial shape, or pretty much any other factors, there is virtually always a celebrity hairstyle that can suit a teenager well. Just to name a couple, some of the most popular role models today when it comes to teenage celebrity hairstyles are Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff. Of course, the list is huge and there are plenty more!
However, teen celebrity hairstyles are certainly not confined just to those of the movie stars. Equally popular as a source for inspiration is the music industry. This also tends to be significantly more diverse and indeed there are plenty of teenagers in the music industry who go in for some pretty wild and alternative styles.
With regards to the music industry as an inspiration for teen celebrity hair styles, some of the most popular inspirations are drawn from artists such as Christina Aquilera, Greenday or Hoobastank etc. However, no doubt many teens who keep in touch with the times and go out to the movies frequently have already been inspired by a particular celebrity style. Currently perhaps the most popular inspiration of all is Hillary Duff.
To make your hairstyle a little more elaborate, you would probably do well by investing in a reputable stylist who is familiar with the type of hairstyle that you are looking for. Also, to maintain such a hairstyle, you are also going to need to get some decent equipment. For example, a vent hairbrush is the most appropriate type, that being one which allows air to pass through the brush as you use a hair dryer.
You must also take into consideration the importance of finding a good stylist. Celebrities typically spend enormous amounts on the hairdos but this does not necessarily mean that you must go out and break the bank as well. In fact, while a decent stylist certainly does not come cheap, bear in mind that for celebrities, money is typically not an issue and they don?t tend to bother to shop around for the better deals. They are also more likely to pay for the name.
The best thing about teen celebrity hairstyles is that you can be at the cutting edge of fashion, never having to worry about appearing dated. This is something that naturally, most teens want. Since celebrities are always in the public eye they are generally quite obsessed about looking highly fashionable and presentable, so it is only natural and normal that we would draw our inspirations from these people.

If you are entering the world of hairdressing then you will soon become familiar with the term Foundation degrees. It is imperative that hairdressing students gain as much knowledge and develop the necessary skills to make them competent and successful within the industry. This is where the Foundation degrees comes into play because they offer higher education qualifications. The basis for this is a partnership with potential employers to see that the student is meeting the standards and criteria of the Industry.
The foundation degree is flexible which really meets the needs of all potential students. It can be taken either on a full time or part time basis. This goes a long way in affording the individual who is currently working to embark on another career without having to quit their current job. This reduces much of the financial burden that is often placed on a student.
The courses that are within the Foundation degrees are structured to ensure that they are pertinent to the Industry which in this case in Hairdressing. The Foundation degree is a joint venture between the educational directors and the potential employers. This type of partnership insures that the level of training being offered meet the requirements of the present time demands. The knowledge is not becoming stale or outdated. As the student is learning the textbook theory, they are also gaining the practical or hands on knowledge in the salon environment. This type of training seems to far enhance the learning abilities of the student. Being able to put into practice what one is learning is a definite advantage to education.
Being involved in an agreed partnership like this means that the employer is fully aware of the student requirements, such as needing time off to write exams for example. This reduces the stress of the student having to approach an outside employer for time off.
As we mentioned this Program has either full time or part time options. Students that have competed their first level or A Level at College find it a great opportunity to progress from the completion of their college segment right into this program. If this is the choice then it will take two years to fully complete the foundation degree. This is naturally a much quicker method for the student to attain their overall goal of becoming a hairdresser.
There are some students though that cannot utilize the full time program because of various reasons. For example, they may be in the midst of a career changes and finances require they continue working at an unrelated job while in training for their new chosen career of hairdressing. This means the end goal will not be met until approximately 3-4 years, depending on the time availability of the student.
Beyond this degree, the graduate can venture onto an Honors degree if they wish to advance within the industry. This doesn?t take as long as one would think; in fact, it can be achieved within 12-15 months.
This type of training partnership opens the doors for many individuals desiring to become a hairdresser that would not under normal circumstances have the same opportunity.

Even though everyone has their very own unique hair, many people can wear the same hairstyle quite attractively. The style is dependant on other factors such as face shape, and length or curly or straight. The Professional hairdresser has to be aware of many factors when it comes to styling. Many clients will leave their hairstyle up to the discretion of the stylist. One of the important aspects of picking a good style for a client is not only to be able to determine the shape of her face but also know which style will complement that shape and whether the style will demand a certain cut.
A stylist not only has to be aware of one particular style for a specific shaped face she or he must be knowledgeable in numerous styles for that face shape. Otherwise, every client with a round face for example would be walking out of that salon with the exact same hair do.
Not only the face shape has to be considered so does the texture and volume of the hair. The cut is critical to the particular hairstyle and must be able to take into the account the amount of wave if any in the natural hair. Much can be done with the cut to add volume to hair that is normally flat and straight. The cut can emphasis the natural curls in hair or it can minimize them. Whatever the requirement is the cut can accommodate provided the stylist knows her techniques.
With today?s hair, technology general hair care products have become more adept at assisting in the styling of the hair. The products are able to hold the more funky styles stiff in any shape the client wants. Foam products such as mousse in small amount can add fullness to the hair and in the larger amounts acts as a stiffener as well. Gel is a great product for relaxing curls and making them more manageable. Again though this products are only as good as the professional applying them. If an incorrect cut has taken place even this products cannot create the appearance of the error.
It is very important that the stylist work with the client. Often a client will ask for the impossible. Meaning they will see a beautiful short hairstyle full of curls with a particular length and cut. Their hair maybe very straight and much shorter than in the picture but they don?t understand why they cannot have that identical look. As the stylist, you must patiently explain to the client what the limitations of that style are. Try to find a few alternatives along the same line as what the client wanted. Most often, the client will go with your recommendations.
If you have the easy client that just leaves the style up to you that makes life easier in some senses. It would be wise to get a general idea of what the client likes and dislikes or else after completion, the client may be very unhappy. When your client is leaving your salon you want to be sure, she is pleased and going to speak highly of your services.

Anyone that owns a computer knows there isn’t too much that one can’t do or find on it. Now when it even comes to your looks you can get a far clearer picture of how something is going to work for you. For example, let’s talk about fashion and hairstyles, which is one of the biggest concerns that an individual has when it comes to their overall looks.
Something you can try now is called virtual hairstyling. Instead of having to imagine of how you will look with a certain hairstyle you can actually see how it’s going to take place. It’s just a matter of simply uploading your photo to the program and then anything goes from that point on.
What you want to do before you try the virtual hairstyles is to get yourself organized and pick out some hairstyles and colors that you think might be suitable for you but it’s not something that you want to pay to have done unless you are absolutely sure.
Most of us would have to admit that probably at some point in time we have taken a picture to our hairdresser anticipating getting the exact same look. The outcome however isn’t near what you expected simply being because we are all individuals. What looks good on one is not necessarily going to be suitable on another. With virtual hair styling now ,you get a first-hand look before you go through the expense of having that new look only to find out that it isn’t what you expected.
There is no doubt that with virtual makeovers, you can actually see your picture on your monitor and then see these new hairstyles with whatever colors or changes you make actually appear. The money that you can alone from not making mistakes when it comes to your hair is a great savings.
There really isn’t much more that you can do to get the realism that you’re going to see when you take advantage of virtual hair styling software. Several programs on the Internet that you can find have this type of service or software available. One thing about it is, when you use it you’re going to want to continually go this route before you have anything done to your hair even if you’re thinking of doing it yourself.
Lets imagine that you have a special occasion that you’re going to. You don’t want to spend a lot of money on a hairdo that just isn’t going to go with what you are wearing especially when it comes to the color of your hair.
With today’s economy we need all the help we can get that is going to save us a few dollars. Many times, we cut back on going to the hairdresser when money is tight. Now you can rest assured that if you are going after you have been to the virtual hair assistant you’re not going to be wasting money on something you didn’t want.

You see it everywhere, don’t you: “Smoking causes cancer”. Isn’t this health warning written on every packet of cigarettes today? Yet there are millions of people who, despite knowing it, still smoke. Everybody knows that smoking isn’t healthy. It causes cancer or severe cardiac diseases to anyone who smokes regularly.
Although a countless number of people are still addicted to smoking, there are millions who want to stop smoking. This can be quite difficult, especially because of the cravings they feel and nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Quit smoking aids are helpful during these situations in order to reduce craving and addiction withdrawal.
However, one of the benefits of living in a hi-tech world is that a wide selection of aids to help quit smoking can be found on the market easily. Some of the most commonly used aids to stop smoking are nicotine chewing gum, nicotine patches, lozenges, inhalers, anti-withdrawal medications, hypnosis and herbal remedies and nicotine nasal sprays.
Not everyone can use nicotine patches or chewing gum successfully, because it doesn’t work the same way on everyone. It varies from one person to another. Aids to help smokers stop are designed to help a person give up their unhealthy habit of smoking and also to reduce the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.
Some of the most well-known aids to quitting smoking on the market are Zyban and Chantix. Zyban is not advised for use by everybody although it is very good at lessening the mood-swings associated with nicotine withdrawal. Some people who have tried hard to quit smoking, have not been successful. For many of these people, Zyban has been the answer to stopping smoking once and for all. There have been certain side-effects linked to the drug that include having a dry mouth, dizziness, migraine headaches, insomnia.
Chantix is another item to help you quit smoking that many people try nowadays. Using this has aided lower the level of satisfaction that smokers get from smoking and also minimize the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. People who use Chantix find it an easy, painless method of supporting their goal of quitting smoking. The pleasure of smoking is reduced and as a result, they become less likely to smoke another cigarette.
While it’s true that the market has more than enough aids to quitting smoking, one of the best aids is your own will power and determination. It is better than any drug that can be taken to quit smoking. If you have no motivation or desire to stop smoking, then the best aid to quit smoking in the world won’t help you. In this case, you would probably quit smoking for a short period of time and then resume your usual habit once again when your will power drops.

Having made the decision to start ballet dancing class, you need to make a list of things you need. It doesn’t take a great deal of ballet knowledge to realize that the most important thing you’re going to need are ballet shoes. Don’t just buy the first ballet shoes you see on the shelf however. Your ballet shoes must fit perfectly if you are to be able to dance to your full potential.
Your ballet shoes are there to support and protect your feet while you learn all the precise ballet steps that have been handed down over the years. With their toe pads they will protect your feet from injury as you put stress and weight onto them. For this reason you must buy shoes that are specifically designed to be used during ballet, rather than any soft-sole type of shoe.
There are different types of ballet shoes for different purposes. You need to choose between two materials which are used to manufacture ballet shoes.
1. Soft ballet shoes are often recommended for beginners. These are easy to slip on the feet and are soft enough for the dancers to adjust to. When you have adjusted in ballet, you should then change to point shoes. This will know help the dancer to balance as the toes are supported. You can now do tiptoes perfectly and protects you from aching toes and feet after dancing.
2. Suede/leather full-soled shoes are also good for beginners as they support the feet while still maintaining flexibility. These shoes help to strengthen the dancer’s feet, which in turn means they can perform more advanced steps. For more advanced dancers there are split-soled shoes which result in a more defined movement as the toe and heels are covered but allow greater flexibility and bending of the foot.
Advice for Buying the Right Ballet Shoe for You
The material of the shoes is also important when selecting the right ballet shoes. Leather shoes might be tight at first, but as you use them more often, it will begin to stretch and fit perfectly and more comfortably. This is more durable than any other material used for ballet shoes. Canvas on the other hand provides more protection on the feet. These have a higher number of pleats that can fit for wider feet. Although this may provide support for your feet, canvas shoes really do not stretch. Canvas ballet shoes are priced cheaper compare to leather ballet shoes.
Never buy ballet shoes without trying them on in the shop. Stand on the balls of your feet and balance to see how they fit. Your feet must feel supported by the shoes, almost like an additional skin. You should be able to move around in the shoes without feeling that your toes are cramped. Remember if they’re leather, they may feel tight, but they shouldn’t feel small! If you are buying the shoes at a dance clothing store, ask the assistant to help you get the best fitting ballet shoe you can.
Shopping for your ballet shoes is something that needs to be done when you’re not in a hurry. Remember, the most important thing about buying ballet shoes is that they fit perfectly!

If you love the designer handbag look but don’t have the budget to pay for it, you’ve probably looked at buying a designer knockoff handbag. If you’ve hesitated until now before taking out your credit card to buy a knockoff, good. There are some things you should know before you make this type of purchase so you’ll be walking in with your eyes open.
Two types of designer knockoff purses are being sold in the marketplace, one good and one bad. One type can be a great deal and enhance your wardrobe. The other type can be a complete waste of your money.
The “good” type of knockoff is the designer-inspired handbag, also called a replica handbag. These purses have the designer look but they don’t pretend to be something they’re not. They don’t use designer tags or logos, and they aren’t sold to you with claims of being the genuine article. Inspired handbags, are a fun, economical way to add some designer pizazz to your fashion look without spending a fortune. Sure, you’re not going to fool anyone into thinking it’s the real thing, but you’ll save a small fortune and look great doing it.
The “bad” type of knockoff tries to pass itself off as the real thing. These cheap rip-offs are mass produced from poor quality materials and workmanship, and are gussied up with designer tags to fool you into thinking you’re getting a Vuitton, Prada, or Coach when you’re not. These bags are counterfeits and if you buy one, you’re probably being ripped off, because the seller will charge you many times what the item is worth while telling you you’re getting a big discount on a valuable item.
Spotting a counterfeit designer bag isn’t that difficult. The first thing you should do is ask yourself if the designer would allow his or her designs to be sold in this type of retail establishment. Designer inventories are tightly controlled, and the chances of a Vuitton or Balenciaga being sold at a roadside stand or online auction are practically zero.
If you’re buying a designer handbag online, make sure it’s from a well-known retailer. Anyone else is in a great position to take advantage of you because you won’t be able to see and handle the bag until after you’ve paid for it. When you buy online, you can’t even tell whether a bag is vinyl or leather by looking at its photo.
Another way to protect yourself in the handbag marketplace is to make sure you’re buying from a store with a good returns policy. Thirty days is the absolute minimum you should accept if you’re spending big money on a designer handbag. This is especially true if you’re buying online. Beware of restocking fees from online merchants, who have been known to keep up to 50 percent of the price of the item as a “fee” for you returning it.
Always pay for designer handbags online with a credit card. Your credit card issuer provides additional protection for you by letting you initiate a chargeback if the product isn’t what it was claimed to be. Debit cards and direct payment services provided by online auctions don’t afford you the same protection.
If the online merchant does business outside your home country, think twice about buying from them. Shipping times can extend beyond the returns period, and other countries have their own laws about doing business that might be more lax than yours.
The two magic words that signal counterfeit are “guaranteed” and “genuine.” Imagine your favorite designer at a New York fashion show saying his goods are “genuine.” If a merchant thinks he has to say it, then you know it’s not true
