Newport Beach Brow Lift Advice

A new course is capturing the cosmetic surgery field by storm and it is based on advanced approaches of how to construe physical attractiveness and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Calabria calls it the “deflation theory”.

In the face, the aging course causes diminution of the skin and basil layers while the effect of gravity cause the facial tissues to languish in a perpendicular direction creating excessive skin and “jowls”.

The final effect is a straight out depletion of the bulk of the face (the deflation effect) and a corresponding shift of volume from certain areas of the face to other, reducing the desirable areas such as the nasolabial fold, the jaw line, the space below the eyes and the neck.

Todays facelift methods attempt to correct the problem by pulling in an artificial, dextral direction, producing the so-called “wind swept look”. Typical facelifts also bring a flattening effect on the face due to pulling the skin tight.

Newport Beach Brow Lift

Therefore facial rejuvenation has been vexed for years by two major blunders: incorrect direction of the pull vector, (lateral vs vertical) and bidimensional, skin-only, (flattening) approach.

When you view how Botticelli painted Simonetta Vespucci in his Primavera’s, you can appreciate the “volume theory” of a young, beautiful face: basically, aging equals volume loss and the principal goal of facial surgery should be to reconstitute the lost bulk.

The vertical facelift was developed in the same way Botticelli composed his paintings: thinking in a 3D style by restoring volume and, therefore, youthful shape and attraction.

Procedure planning is substantial: carefully analyzing images of the patient in their 20’s and 30’s with images of them before surgery emanates into the guide book for their rejuvenation procedure.

Newport Beach Brow Lift Advisement

The advent of new, state of the art, endoscopic technology which allowed us to minimize scars with minimally invasive Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Newport Beach and Palm Springs, California facelift procedures.

Cameras adhered to scopes, instituted through tiny cuts project magnified video to our operating room TVs, thereby permitting us to access crucial regions of the face, with specially designed instruments, and modify and shape underlying tissues according to our aesthetic needs.

Using similar technology, the vertical facelift is performed. Two tiny, concealed incisions in the hairlines and inside the mouth are made. Sutures are cautiously placed in a created space to suspend and adjust the facial tissues vertically, giving a younger look.

This approach makes most post-op healing less then a week, as it causes less swelling and bruising along with defeating and visible scars. It’s perfect for patients aiming to revise an unnatural looking, pulled back looking, prior facelift.

Newport Beach Brow Lift Advisement

Because it is less invasive and absent of scarring, this approach is favored by younger clients. On older patients we combine an endoscopic necklift to remove excess skin, along with the vertical facelift.

Restoring volume in cheeks and nasolabial fold, via fat mecrografting, is achieved with an endoscopic brow lift. The finished product is a soft, natural, youthful look, with restored volume.

This technique is a combination or evolution of other methods. Dr. Renato Calabria would like to acknowledge the other minds whose thinking has stimulated him the most: Bill Little, M.D., Steve Hoefflin, M.D., Oscar Ramirez M.D., Sam Hamra, M.D. and Sherrell Aston, M.D.

How Much Is The Cost Of Laser Liposuction?

Friday, July 16th, 2010

Recently, the Food and Drugs Administration approved of a modern process of fat reduction in some areas of the body. This latest procedure is identified as the laser liposuction, which is obviously different from the original liposuction method.

Laser liposuction is a procedure that is less invasive compared to the original procedure. In laser liposuction, a small incision will be made so a 1mm cannula can be inserted. The instrument’s laser tip will then come in contact with the body fats. Once it does, it will heat up the fats and will break these fats down. All these melted fat will be eliminated from the body immediately.

Meanwhile, all the other fats that remain in the body will be eliminated through a person’s lymphatic system. Normally, the laser’s intensity is low but it can raised depending on the need. To go on with the laser liposuction, you would need a professional anesthetic and you are good to go.

Aside from the fact that laser liposuction causes minimal bruising, there are other reasons why more and more people are choosing it over the traditional liposuction. One of these reasons is the cost of laser liposuction. The cost of laser liposuction, however, may vary according to the kind of laser used during surgery, by region, skill of the working surgeon, number of areas that are designated for the surgical procedure and the experience level of the surgeon. Generally, the cost of laser liposuction may fall in the $1500 to $15000 range.

One thing that a patient should take precaution of is choosing the surgeon. Just because you can afford the surgeon does not mean that he is a good one. You should know his reputable track record and experience as a lipo surgeon. You may ask some comments from the surgeon’s previous clients. Judging is also made easier once you check out some before and after images. If you do this before you undergo laser lipo, you can remove the need for finding a second lipo surgeon to repair damages from your first surgery.

As mentioned earlier, the cost of laser liposuction may vary due to a lot of factors. A lot of liposuction surgeons charge higher fees for certain body parts. The larger and more difficult areas to operate on are normally more expensive. However, there are surgeons who charge flat rates for a particular body part.

For example, the normal price for the upper abdomen area is $4500, with lower and higher fees of $3000 and $10000 respectively. As opposed to the upper abdomen, the lower abdomen is less expensive. The normal price for surgery on this part is $3500 with a lower fee of $2000 and a higher one of $9000. The thigh area will cost a patient $2500 average while the knees can reach as much as $4000. Probably the most expensive among the body areas is the man boobs, which generally costs $5000, a lower fee worth $3500 and a $10000 higher fee.

It is still best to check with your surgeon before you give in to any operation. Also, remember that there might be additional charges for the faculty use, garments and anesthesia. Before anything else, always review the policies of each surgeon. When you have reviewed them, that is the time that you can make your final decision about engaging on laser liposuction.

Enhance Image And Self Esteem

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Plastic surgery remodels or restores the personality of an individual .Not long ago, a Plastic Surgery was considered by many to be reserved for movie stars and celebrities. Today, it is not just for the rich and famous.

Face-lift, a form of plastic surgery is one of the most well accepted and most frequently performed cosmetic procedures in the United States. A face-lift, technically known as a rhytidectomy is a procedure which gives more youthful appearance. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient’s face and neck.

Facelifts are helpful for eliminating loose skin folds in the neck and laxity of tissues in the cheeks.A facelift requires skin incisions; however, the incisions in front of and behind the ear are usually inconspicuous. Hair loss in the portions of the incision within the hair-bearing scalp can rarely occur. In men, the sideburns can be pulled backwards and upwards, resulting in an unnatural appearance if appropriate techniques are not employed to address this issue.

Achieving a natural appearance following surgery in men can be more challenging due to their hair-bearing preauricular skin. In both men and women, one of the signs of having had a facelift can be an earlobe which is pulled forwards and/or distorted.

Also Hands are one of the first parts of the body to show signs of aging because they receive so much exposure. Sunlight, the elements and the natural aging process all contribute to the development of darkened spots, unsightly veins, wrinkles and fine lines, precancerous growths and loss of fatty tissue. Hand rejuvenation makes your hands look younger. It can be used to rid the hands of a skeletal look and reverse the signs of aging. A procedures which is used for Hand rejuvenation is Chemical peel which in a variety of forms can be used to produce a separation and peeling of the outer layers of the skin. The new skin beneath is smooth and practically blemish-free, with reduced fine lines, wrinkles, spots and sun damage.

Also the procedure that is used for Hand rejuvenation is Sclerotherapy that was developed in the 1920s. During the procedure a sclerosing solution is injected into the vein through a micro-needle. The tiny needles generally cause very little pain. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to blanch (turn white), then gradually disappear.

Today Tummy Tuck or abdominoplasty which flattens a protruding abdomen by tightening the muscles in the abdominal wall and removing excess fatty tissue and skin is also very popular. This surgical procedure is a common one and can benefit men and women who are bothered by a protruding abdomen. Patients whose weight has been stabilized in their weight loss program or who feel they are at their ideal weight are the best candidates for a tummy tuck. Many patients combine their tummy tuck with other cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentation or breast reduction surgery.

A full tummy tuck involves an incision around the belly button and another incision that runs from hip to hip. The entire abdominal wall is tightened with permanent sutures, and the excess skin and fat is removed. A mini tummy tuck is usually performed in conjunction with liposuction of the upper abdomen and the flank areas.

Things To Think About If You Are Wanting To Try A Skin Tightening Procedure

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Most of us would prefer to have firm, tight skin like we did when we were younger. However , as we age, our skin tends to wrinkle and sag a bit. There are a number of reasons explaining why this occurs, including sun damage, damage from smoking, not staying hydrated, and most of all, less collagen being formed in our skin as we age. There are a bunch of different skin-tightening methods available, from the mild to the invasive, so you should think punctiliously before making a decision on how you would like to tighten up your skin.

Firstly, there are all kinds of creams out there which profess to tighten your skin. Don’t spend a large amount of money for those containing collagen, because the collagen molecules are too big to be absorbed through the skin. nonetheless there are one or two creams that can momentarily improve the feel and look of your skin. The effects will be mild, and they won’t last, but you can take advantage of these creams when you want to look your best. The cost of using them daily can actually add up nonetheless , because they will be able to be comparatively expensive compared to regular lotions.

Some people go for the more extreme technique of skin tightening, namely plastic surgery. Nonetheless this is kind of pricey and there are a lot of risks concerned, so many people do not want to literally go that far to improve their looks. Besides, sometimes this causes a fairly tight look that just screams plastic surgery. There are much less dangerous and invasive techniques out there.

An alternative choice that is slightly in between the 1st two mentioned above is to get injections like Botox of Juvederm. You can get these from a doctor or from places like the American Laser Center. Wherever you go, just make absolutely certain that you use the services of a correctly trained professional. Many times you can combine different treatments to get the very best possible results. If you get a skin rejuvenation treatment like microdermabrasion along with your injections, you’ll have both younger and firmer looking skin.

Find American Laser Center on Twitter.

As you can see, you have got a variety of different skin tightening options, depending on your budget and the level of invasiveness you are ready to endure. Taking good care of your skin can minimize the necessity for this kind of treatment in the 1st place, so it’s best to start babying your skin when you are young so that you do not have as many issues as you grow older.

Visit American Laser Center for a consultation on the numerous different options in skin rejuvenation services.

Breast Augmentation Fee in San Francisco

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

The cost of Breast enhancement surgery varies quite widely from place to place. San Francisco, being on the West coast, where perhaps a larger percentage of women choose to have breast augmentation and other cosmetic procedures, tends to be more expensive than many places for most procedures. There are variations from one part of the country to another, and also from practice to practice in a given area.

In the year 2005, the Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery produced a report which stated that the national average price for breast augmentation was $4,005 for silicone implants. The average price for saline implants was $3,583. These estimates did not include hospital, anesthesiologist, and other fees. It did include the surgeons charge and the cost of the implants.

It is not possible to provide an exact price without seeing a surgeon due to specific issues that are unique to each person.

Included here are approximate fees for breast enhancement surgery in and around San Francisco. In this case a number of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons provided estimates for the total cost of various procedures. These quotes are all inclusive of hospital and other charges. In addition to these fees, there is generally a fee for the first visit consultation. This is normally included with the total charge if you choose that doctor to perform the surgery.

Breast Augmentation: Silicone implants- from $7,000 to $8,000 Saline implants- from $5,500 to $6,600

Breast Lift- $5,500 to $8,200

Breast Lift and Augmentation- from $8,500 to $10,000

Breast Implant Replacement- $5,200 to $10,200

Breast Reduction- from $6,400 to $9,700

Choose your surgeon carefully, ask friends who have had cosmetic procedures and do your research to be sure the physician you choose will be best for you. There are online sources of information about physicians such as Healthgrades.com that have some valuable information. Price is a consideration but other factors are also very important.

Bad Plastic Surgery: How To Avoid Getting One

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

We have listened to so many tragic stories from people getting painful experiences while obtaining plastic surgery. These are very awful stories to find out.

Medical professionals are required to follow the standards but as we all know in each industry there are always good ones and bad ones. Thus patients are expected to take responsibilities for themselves as well. Patients must know what are the things they should be looking at before taking any surgery. Below are some of the tips you can focus on before undergoing a plastic surgery.

1. Choose a certified professional. It is critical that you make sure that the professional who will do your surgery is a certified one and is specializing in the operation you are looking for. This gives you the guarantee that the doctor has received appropriate education and the essential skills.

2. Set your objectives clearly. When planning to go for a plastic or cosmetic surgery you have to specify what your preferred results are and examine carefully if these are attainable. This will give you a clear picture of what to anticipate once the surgery is done and thus avoid disappointment.

3. Make sure your health is in good condition. To get best results, your body must be in good condition. As the processes always involve minor operations, you will be able to bounce back quicker if your body responds well.

4. Don’t expose yourself to toxins. Before and after undergoing any cosmetic or plastic surgery you have to stop endangering yourself from damaging toxins that can affect the outcome of the procedure you are receiving. Smoking and drinking alcohol are some of the activities that can stimulate complications and hinder the outcome of your surgery.

5. Investigate. It is best that you ask your doctor for cases of surgeries that he has already completed which are related to the operation you desire to undertake. If your doctor is confident enough, he will be more than willing to show and tell you about his experiences.

6. Check the prices. This step is critical. You have to have an idea of the cost of the procedure you want to take. First of all you will be able to gauge if the procedure is within your budget. Second, you will be able to compare the prices among the clinics offering the procedure you need. You have to think twice about taking very inexpensive surgeries as these maybe indicating the competency level of the doctor who will handle the operations.

7. Study. Study the risks that come with the procedure you desire to take. As you know yourself better, you know your limitations and you know how much pain you can take.

For now, all the best to your plastic or cosmetic surgery efforts.

Things You Should Watch On After Your Nose Plastic Surgery

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Many people are going under the knife and receiving nose plastic surgery. Reasons vary - from disliking the shape of their noses, to health grounds. If you think that a nose plastic surgery can improve your life, then you should read a lot about rhinoplasty, ordinarily known as a nose job.

The nose plastic surgery can increase or decrease the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip, narrow the nostrils, modify your nose’s angle, and correct breathing problems. A nose plastic surgery is quite popular nowadays. It is an operation that is executed on both men and women and the recovery period actually varies.

Around 24 hours after your nose plastic surgery, your face will look a bit huge and you could feel that your nose is often blocked and painful. Pain medications are essential during this phase to alleviate the irritation. Puffiness and the pressure will stay on and to help diminish the puffiness, you need to keep your head elevated. Keeping your head elevated reduces the puffiness, and with less swelling you will have a speedier recuperation and less soreness.

Three days after the nose plastic surgery, you will still see puffiness and bruising around your eyes and face. You will be prescribed to put on cold compress on your face to alleviate this soreness. It is still important to constantly keep your head elevated - as often and as much as possible. It is advised that you keep your head propped up with three pillows, also you should keep away from sun exposure for this time period.

Six to eight weeks after the nose plastic surgery, you can bit by bit see improvements. You can resume non-stressful activities a week after your plastic surgery. Still, you are not permitted to blow your nose.

Within this time period, the swelling and bruising will go away except maybe for some minor swelling. You are still not permitted to put on glasses and if you really have to, your glasses will have to be held in place by a tape.

Rhinoplasty Is Commonly Known As A ‘nose Job’

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Rhinoplasty is a procedure when the nose is reshaped for either cosmetic or reconstructive reasons. The word comes from the Latin and the Greek languages: rhino (Latin for ‘nose’) and plasty (Greek for ’shaping’ or ‘forming’). Most of us know rhinoplasty as a ‘nose job’.

Your nose can be made smaller if you wish, or the tip can be altered so that your nose has a more pleasing appearance. The angle between your nose and your upper lip can also be remodeled. If you have been injured in an accident or have some form of abnormality in your nasal cavity, reconstruction of your nose will enable you to breathe properly through your nostrils.

There are two ways of performing rhinoplasty; either the ‘open’ or ‘closed’ techniques. Whichever method your surgeon chooses, incisions will have to be made in both nostrils. If you have the open surgery an additional incision will be made in the fleshy portion between your nostrils. The surgeon can then adjust your bone and cartilage.

Sometimes bones may have chiseled or broken, and cartilage might have to be trimmed to obtain the desired result. The passages are packed and a splint is placed externally on the nose. The packs are taken out within 24 hours but the splint will remain for a week. The procedure usually takes 1-2 hours and it can be done with local or general anesthesia.

Within 3 days you will experience painful bruising and swelling around your nose and eyes. This will persist for as long as 3 weeks. Other uncomfortable side effects could be numbness in your nose, headaches, or your nose will ache a lot. The healing process will be longer if the surgeon had to break any bones.

Recovery can be an unpleasant and painful experience. If a revision rhinoplasty has been performed (a second procedure) the nose area can get extremely swollen and sore. If you are recuperating from revision surgery or planning a second procedure, you can relieve the discomfort by putting some crushed ice in towel and leave it on the swelling for 20 minutes. Remove for 40 minutes. Continue this throughout the day.

Maintain your head in an elevated position. You can do this by using nice, puffy pillows, or stretch yourself out on a recliner. When resting or sleeping, your head should be positioned between 30 and 45 degrees. By staying like this after revision rhinoplasty, your blood circulation will improve and swelling will reduce.
